Since its founding in 2010, the Avocado Nutrition Center has supported research to understand the importance of eating avocados on human health and nutrition. Epidemiological studies, as well as clinical research, indicate several areas of potential positive impact from eating avocados. The ANC is currently investigating the relationship between fresh avocado consumption and cardiovascular health, weight management, type 2 diabetes, and healthy living at all ages. And, based on their nutrient and phytochemical profile, emerging research suggests that fresh avocados may play a positive role in many other research areas including skin, eye, joint and cellular health.

Strictly adhering to its guiding principles, the ANC and third-party researchers follow a science-based, ethical approach to ensure sound and unbiased results.
